How can I get to the tour meeting point if I arrive by cruise ship?
When you arrive at the harbor in Horta, Faial, your guide will be waiting for you with a sign with your name on it so that you can easily identify him.
The meeting point is at the exit of the harbor in Horta, between 9:15 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. When you walk through the glass door, you will see a taxi rank where your guide will be waiting for you.
- Please provide your cruise arrival time when booking to organize the pick-up.
What if I arrive by ferry from Pico?
The meeting point is at the exit door of the ferry station in Horta, between 9:15 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., so that you can arrive at Faial rested in case of any delays.
There is a small bakery where you can grab a bite to eat or have a coffee while you wait for the guide.
The guide will arrive in a gray Opel van.
I arrive by plane at Faial. How do I get to the meeting point?
Airport pick-up is only available for private tours, so you don't miss the tour in case of any delays.
After arriving by plane, you can also go to a meeting point in Horta. Horta Airport is about 10-15 minutes from the city center.

Yes, all tours can be booked online safely, by selecting the date, tour, and number of participants.
How many people take part in the tour?
We operate in small groups to ensure higher quality and a more personalized experience. Our tours typically run with up to 8 people. Private tours are also available if you prefer the experience to be exclusively for your group.
Can you accommodate large groups or provide bus tours?
Yes, we can organize tours for large groups and bus groups. However, we recommend making your reservation request as early as possible and contacting us directly for details and pricing.
Is the tour suitable for all fitness levels?
Yes, it is mostly a light walking tour combined with vehicle transport. No special physical preparation is required.
What should I bring?
- Comfortable footwear
- A light jacket (the weather can change quickly, even in summer)
- Water (If you forget, we will take care of it)
- Camera
What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the tour?
Light rain usually does not cancel the tour, as the weather often changes throughout the day. We are known for having all four seasons in a single day :) . In case of extreme weather, we reschedule or offer a full refund, except for the booking fee and bank transfer charges.
Can I cancel my tour and get a refund?
Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- Cancellations made up to 8 days before the activity are free of charge, except for the booking fee and any bank transfer costs.
- Cancellations made between 7 and 4 days before the activity will incur a charge of 50% of the total booking amount.
- Cancellations made within 72 hours of the activity, as well as no-shows, are non-refundable.
This experience will only take place in favorable weather conditions.
If the activity is canceled due to adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered:
- An alternative date for the experience, or
- A full refund, except for the booking fee and any bank transfer costs.
